Chapter 209: Dandy In The Underworld

Pondering Pootan with Ajishio Taro and Hachimitsu Boy features comedic sketches, mostly standalone with very loose continuity, playing out between podcaster Connor and his class of 32 students, class 2-He. As a podcaster, Connor is addressed as "Kana-Kanaa-sensei", a sobriquet which ironically shows respect for his profession while inauspiciously corrupting the katakana writing of his name to hiragana so that it is read as "I wonder..." or "should I?" True to this name, Kana-Kanaa-sensei views many aspects of life with puzzlement, carrying a ponderous attitude that undermines both his authority and work ethic. He habitually interrupts episodes to make various confusing arguments, which he proceeds to validate by threatening to derail the episode, or by leading the episode off on tangents, whether in or outside of the recording studio. His quizzical outlooks are always gainsaid by Niamh, a student who presents as relentlessly bratty, though faer rebellious outlooks are even further afield or, ironically, tangential in comparison.
