Does Chapter 246 make sense to anyone?
(To me at least) The entire opening (and episode as a whole) makes no sense from the beginning. Why are they in space? How is Niamh in space?
Then once Niamh's actually awake Connor's just like "you what even is a diameter Niamh, and even if you look it up the sense you'll make is 0. However you did make sense talking about diagonals, so here's an explosive collar around your neck" considering Niamh could literally cause the geometry of the universe to break down, it'd be pretty important for Connor to tell fem fae'll end the world if fae keeps messing with shapes.
Then once Niamh willingly goes since fae's left in the dark and literally just abused for like 20 minutes Connor says something along the line of "This Niamh is ___ than the others" I can't remember the exact line but I know he says "This Niamh", why would he say that? Were there other Niamh's? Is it because this Connor is a clone and inturn also an impossible geometry? Does he see the alternate dimensional coordinates?
I could just be remembering it all wrong and they actually did explain it. But is there anyone who could actually provide an answer or is all just left up to personal assumption?

I honestly think Chapter 246's opening is bad. It's obvious that the episode wants to put the audience in Niamh's shoes in terms of the sense of alienation from the world and its inhabitants. The opening goes against it by making Connor the POV character - not only are we outside Niamh's perspective, we're also experiencing events fae is not conscious of. Despite all of this, the episode still refuses to fully submerge us in Connor's context by keeping everything painfully vague - obviously, Connor and POOTAN must understand the situation, stakes and goals, so why are we not given a clear insight into these aspects of the plot? The episode is split between wanting to keep us in Niamh's confused headspace, but at the same time unwilling to fully commit and thus cut the part in which Niamh is effectively absent because it would mean letting go of an action scene.
It's worth noting that the opening adds nothing to the actual plot. The episode could as well begin with Niamh's awakening after the intro and nothing substantial would be lost. I'd say the episode would have been better for it - we would enter the story just as Niamh does, in a totally unfamiliar setting and surrounded by strangers, without the earlier Connor action to reassure us that it's the same old Pondering Pootan. As it is, the opening brings up loads of questions with no intention to actually answer them - why is 08-Mitsu in space? How come the Salt Shaker guarding it has a failproof Honey-ignoring weapon that is never brought up or used again? The sequence is a testament to the needlessly convoluted nature of the podcast at this point.

It's the worst kind of confusing: you feel though you're missing something, and that's never a good feeling. It doesn't help that the opening itself is very hectic and doesn't give context for absolutely anything.
